CNSP partnering with US Marine Corps in battle against unmanned aerial threats
TULSA, Okla. – Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs, a subsidiary of Cherokee Nation Businesses, recently joined the United States Marine Corps in its effort to detect, track, identify and defeat the possible use of unmanned aerial systems by counterforces.
Throughout the next five years, CNSP will provide UAS operator support, data analysis, training and evaluation, as well as purchasing and configuration support for equipment.

The tribally owned company will support USMC teams in developing and refining the military’s countering capabilities against commercially available UAS. The work will be performed in Quantico, Virginia.
CNSP’s FAA Part 107 certified specialists are also responsible for the fabrication, setup and full functionality of the UAS systems used for training and testing throughout the project. The company secured the project through an $8 million contract with the Department of Defense.
