CNMS brings E-911 services to US military base

TULSA, Okla. – Cherokee Nation Mission Solutions, a subsidiary of Cherokee Nation Businesses, is providing enhanced emergency communications services to parts of Tennessee and Kentucky through the Emergency Communications Center at Fort Campbell.

“Our mission is to provide soldiers, family members, citizens and visitors of Fort Campbell the most professional, courteous, efficient and effective emergency and non-emergency communications as possible,” said Tabitha Frost, operations general manager for CNMS. “At all times, we are focused on assuring the safety of all responders and preserving and protecting the lives and property on base and its surrounding areas.”

Throughout its five-year contract with the U.S. Army, CNMS will provide personnel, management, administration and clerical functions as needed to dispatch emergency first responders, monitor intrusion detection and fire alarm systems, perform National Crime Information Center queries and provide a non-emergency telephone answering service at the base.

Fort Campbell is located along the Kentucky-Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Clarksville, Tennessee. The base consists of more than 112,000 acres and more than 3,500 buildings with a population of nearly 55,000, including military, government, civilian and contract personnel, as well as family members of residents.
