CN3S to support US Air Force telecommunications system

TULSA, Okla. – Cherokee Nation 3S, a subsidiary of Cherokee Nation Businesses, is partnering with the United States Air Force and soon will begin operating and maintaining the Base Telecommunications System at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas.


The Cherokee Nation-owned company will support the mission of Sheppard’s two wings by providing wired telecommunications and networked voice, video and data services to the military community. Throughout the next five years, CN3S will ensure Sheppard’s communications system is reliable and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.


The BTS consists of the base telephone system switch, as well as outside and inside plant systems, transmission systems and all associated equipment. CN3S has the potential to earn more than $6 million through the five-year contract.


Sheppard Air Force Base includes the 82nd Training Wing and the 80th Flying Training Wing. It is widely known as the most diverse training installation in the Air Force.


Cherokee Nation 3S provides personalized support services to government and commercial clients. The company has proven expertise in navigating the competitive and tribal 8(a) acquisition environments while supporting industries such as mission, information technology, environmental and medical support.
