Cherokee Federal named to Bloomberg Government's list of top federal contractors
Cherokee Federal, a division of Cherokee Nation Businesses, has been named one of the top 200 federal contractors according to Bloomberg Government in the 10th annual BGOV200.
Cherokee Federal ranked #120 this year on the BGOV200 list. Rankings are based on fiscal year 2020 data for unclassified, prime contracts awarded across all U.S. federal government agencies.
The 10th annual BGOV200 report is the culmination of extensive data management for areas such as company hierarchy, contract title and agency assignments. Bloomberg Government’s analysis finds that fiscal 2020 marks the fifth straight year of increased government contract spending, with contracting dollars increasing by $83 billion compared with fiscal 2019.
“Cherokee Federal is honored to be recognized as one of the top federal contractors by Bloomberg,” said Steven Bilby, president of Cherokee Federal. “Throughout the past decade, we’ve had the honor and opportunity to work with many outstanding federal partners and we are very proud of our efforts supporting the many federal government missions around the world.”
Bloomberg Government forecasts fiscal 2021 spending obligations could range from $600 billion to $695 billion, once spending ends for the year in September 2021. Top markets likely to see continued growth in fiscal 2021 based on the BGOV forecast are facilities and construction ($119 billion), professional services ($94 billion), and information technology ($80 billion).
Cherokee Federal’s team of companies manages nearly 2,000 projects of all sizes (CONUS/OCONUS) across the construction, engineering and manufacturing, and mission solutions portfolios — ranging from advanced data analytics and health care services to cybersecurity, supply chain and logistics. Cherokee Federal companies assist in building a better tomorrow, solving complex challenges and serving federal and commercial clients across the globe.
